Anyone into the Counter-Strike gaming scene would agree that Gameonline! was one of the milestone teams in competitive history. Their numerous achievements included two second-place finishes at CPL, and they had one of the best lineups ever: Souledge, Hyb, Vicon, Element and mysse. But after CPL things suddenly started going wrong for GoL. After the loss of Vicon and Element, results became disappointing and the future didn't look so bright anymore. But almost one year has passed since then, and GoL is back, finishing 3rd place in WCG Sweden behind SK and Frontline, and winning OsloLAN. Strong as ever? Only time will tell.
I sat down with iku and Hyb from GoL and asked them about what's going on, and the things GoL! has been through since CPL Winter 2002.
Hi, Please introduce yourself for our readers.
GoL|iku: My name is Daniel Legien. I am 19 years old and live in the west of Germany. I've worked as a manager for GameOnline! for about two years now and went through a lot of ups and downs together with all the members. Beside hyb I am currently the member that stayed longest with GoL.
GoL|Hyb: My name is Johan Carlund. I am 24 years old and live in Molndal, a bit outside Gothenburg. I am the Captain of the GameOnline! CS squad.
